Molly Warneke
Family Co-Chair
(Jan ‘24 - Dec ‘26)
Molly joined the Pediatric Experience Collaborative in 2022 after attending the Fall Summit at Phoenix Children's. She has been a member of Children’s Nebraska's Cardiac Family Advisory Council since its beginning in 2019. Molly's journey into motherhood was challenging, as she struggled with infertility for several years before becoming pregnant. Then some news came about her baby boy's heart condition that changed the trajectory of her life. She immediately left her work as a Juvenile Probation Officer to care for her son’s healthcare needs fulltime. Her journey as a new mother revolved around navigating the complexities of pediatric healthcare, which quickly evolved into a personal mission and passion. Her, now six-year-old, son's battle with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), Heterotaxy, Autism, Apraxia, and developmental delays has illuminated challenges for her that many families face. However, this journey has also shown her the incredible resilience, strength, and compassion that can be found within family, support system, and caring medical staff. Next to her son runs Molly's spirited four-year-old daughter, who is fortunately free from health concerns, her husband of ten years, and an army of furry family members (two dogs and two cats). Molly is also the sister of a brother with CHD and Autism, which just echoes the importance of creating a world where every child thrives from birth to adulthood. Molly is passionate about learning and educating about the effects of the system on every aspect of a family; from the child, to siblings, to caregivers, to grandparents, to staff, and every person in their support system.
Together, let's continue to foster a community that supports, understands, and uplifts every family and staff member navigating the intricate landscape of pediatric healthcare.
